Today in the lab we are looking at controlling a brushless motor, using an ESC flashed with BlHeli 14.9, in a bidirectional configuration, using PWM with an Arduino. Okay that was a mouthful. There are a lot of tutorials out there showing how to control a brushless motor via PWM, there seem to be very few showing how to do it in away that allows the motor to spin in two directions. So today we look at the most basic control technique for a brushless motor ESC and that is via PWM. In future videos we are also going to look at oneshot 125 and D-Shot. The hope is to compare these methods and determine which will be best for our beetle weight combat robot! = Links ========================================================================= Link to the code: https://github.com/MikeysLab/BrushlessESCviaPWM/blob/master/EscPWMTesting/EscPWMTesting.ino = Channel Stuff ================================================================= Lab Coat up, we are going to learn something today. This channel is an all-out assault on ignorance, and you are our projection of force. Through this channel we are going to make stuff, we are going to break stuff and we are going to test stuff = Sister Channel ================================================================ Looking into how ADHD effects the life of an engineer: Engineering ADHD /channel/UC9K0YTkWsuj4HDfgGCH7Eyg For all things fishing, please check out: Fishing For the rest of us /channel/UCFcDiOaLOFAqVk9dP_NePmQ For all things collectible, check out: Combo Collectibles /channel/UC0MYPO4Qqrz9MwYIctuy-Yg = Tags ========================================================================= #Arduino #PWM #ESC
