Shahi Malai Kofta recipe in white gravy is a popular North Indian dish consisting of paneer balls in creamy white gravy. So, presenting my recipe of Malai Kofta inspired from a local restaurant, you can prepare it in your own kitchen and I am sure you and everyone else is going to keep licking their fingers after having this.This dish is best served hot, accompanied by either a paratha, Roti etc.
Ingredients
For white gravy –
• Onion - 3 nos (medium)
• Cashew nuts - 1/3 cup
• Green chilli - 1 no
• Green cardamom - 2 nos
• Curd - 4 tbsp
• Ghee - 2 tbsp
• Green cardamom - 3 nos
• Cloves - 2 nos
• Fresh cream - ¼ cup
• Crush black pepper- ¼ tsp
• Cumin powder - 1/8 tsp
• Garam masala powder - ½ tsp
• Kasoori methi - ½ tsp
• Sugar - ¼ tsp
• Salt - as per taste
• Butter - 1 tbsp
For Kofta –
• Paneer - 250 gm
• Boiled potato - 2 no (med)
• Green chili chopped - 2 nos
• Black pepper powder - ¼ tsp
• Coriander powder - 1 tsp
• Garam masala powder - ¼ tsp
• White pepper powder - ¼ tsp
• Salt - as per taste
• Corn starch - 2 tbsp or as needed
• Corn starch - for dusting
• Oil - to fry kofta
For dry fruits stuffing –
• Chopped cashew nuts - 2 tbsp
• Chopped raisin - 2 tbsp
• Chopped pistachios & almonds – 1 tbsp
• Desiccated coconut - 1 tbsp
• Cardamom powder - ¼ tsp
• Milk powder - 3 tbsp
• Saffron milk - 1 tbsp
