Even heroes get breast cancer. Kathy Shear was diagnosed in the fall of 2018, which has put her volunteer firefighting on the back burner. As a cancer survivor, Kathy now advocates for early and frequent mammograms. She’s also in support of the HSHS Sacred Heart and St. Joseph’s Foundations’ efforts to buy a mobile mammography vehicle to travel western Wisconsin, making mammograms more accessible in rural areas. Hear Kathy’s full story. For more information, please visit https://www.SacredHeartEauClaire.org/Giving .
