Today, I am sharing the recipe for Methkut/ Menthe hittu, a versatile spice powder from Maharashtra and North Karnataka that can be savoured by just mixing it with hot rice and ghee and relish, or use to spice up vegetables, bhadang, Poha, Salads, for thickening gravy, Gojju and many more. Methkoot/ Menthyada hittu actually means ” Fenugreek Powder “ but this powder doesn’t taste bitter at all …in fact it is made from various mixed pulses, grains and spices. Hence Methkoot is very proteinaceous, nutritious and delicious. It can be stored for 6 months.
