Gene And Tina The Box Turtles Eating Fruit And Worms

We have two Eastern box turtles. They are named Gene and Tina. This is a video of them eating fruit and worms and crawling around in the grass. They are rescues. They have both been raised to be hand fed, so they shouldn't be released into the wild. Never take a turtle from the wild to keep as a pet. It is illegal in most states as turtles are a protected species. Box turtles can eat a variety of things; romaine lettuce, dandylion leaves, meal worms, red worms, earth worms, soft fruits like raspberries and strawberries, shredded carrots.
